Aneesha Frierson - Virginia Beach, VA I got your book as a gift from my parents. They met you at your signing at McArthur Mall in Norfolk Virginia. They called me on the phone and asked me if I had ever heard of you. I wasn't sure and told them to get the book for me anyway. My mom told me that you had wanted me to email you and tell you what I thought. Man this book was great. It kept my attention all the way to the end. I also did not expect it to end the way it did, actually I was looking for some more pages and realized it was really the end. The book and the characters where so realistic it was like I was talking to one of my girlfriends. It seems like we all have been through what Ashlei has been through. I felt like I was watching a movie in my head. I've never read a book that I could actually feel the feelings of the character, (especially when Ashlei went off on ?? and ??). But last but not least your poems were outstanding and I really enjoyed them. Can't wait till the next book comes out. Thanks Aneesha

I just finish the book today and today is Tuesday. I can't put it down. I only put it down to go to work and I also when to work a half an hour early so that I could sit in my car and read it before I started work. I didn't except it to end the way that it did. Jess - Delaware State University Dear Shawna, My name is Jess, and I don’t know if you remember me, but I met you at the Delaware Women’s Conference; I was in the Vagina Monologues and working at the VM table. I just finished reading your book and I wanted to say thank you so much! I really enjoyed it, even to the extent that I would sit down to read for a few minutes before I went to bed and before I knew it, it was an hour later. I could relate to a lot of things that Ashlei was experiencing. I also really enjoyed the poetry that you included. I have gone to an open mic night for poetry readings so that has made me really appreciate poetry even more. I write sometimes when something inspires me, and I am considering reading a poem at this open mic night, and maybe sharing one of yours too, as long as that is ok. Thanks again and I really enjoyed the chance to meet you and read your book. Sincerely, Jess
